Here is a little insight to me, and my Family!
Hello!! My name is Clark Collins. I Was born in Green
Bay, and really did my growing up in the Amherst area. I graduated in 1993
and never looked back. I had met a couple of great friends, Chris and Tom
while I lived in Stevens Point. We had a lot of fun, and are probably lucky
to have escaped some of the things that we did with our lives. After a
few years of wasting my life, drinking and getting in to trouble with the
Law...
I decided to move up to Laona were my family had some
land, and a cottage. It was a bit of a transition because I had to meet all
new friends, and I didn't know anyone but my cousin Kim. He kind of took me
under his wing a little bit and showed me the ropes up in the northwoods, I learned a
lot about my self in the solitude that was laona, I really grew to love the outdoors.
One thing that I really miss is... I used to actually have a trailer for my canoe, and I would take what
little I needed and stay out in the woods for days at a time fishing, hiking
and relaxing. While I was
working at the casino, I met this lady that I ran into at a party while I
was living in Stevens Point (at this time I hated her ). After telling
everyone at work that she had a sex change, ( so they wouldn't be any
competition) she decided she should take me out golfing after no sleep and
proposed marriage to me. I said o.k. and from there on out we have been having
all kinds of fun. I worked at the casino for about another year before I
decided that it was time to move on.
Right after Deer hunting in 1996 I called my best
friend Adrian, I needed to make some more money than I was currently making,
and he said that he would get me a job with the cable company in Appleton.
I kind of liked it and it moved me forward to the career that I am currently
in, Sales. The story breaks down like this: I was approached by this guy
named Bruce Scheidemeyer, He had just opened up a new carpet store the
carpet connection, and he needed a outside sales manager ( or amway lackey ) but
I didn't hear the latter, all that I heard was, "Manager". Well it didn't
quite turn out the way that I thought it would, but they gave me a little
taste of selling. I liked it! I saw an ad in the paper that Russ Darrow had,
"Make $80,000 per year and be your own boss!!!" So I signed up, and I can
tell you that I never made 80,000 there, but they did teach me most of what
I know today, however they would not move me into the position that I
wanted. F&I or Finance and Insurance.
I was given that opportunity by Van Dyn Hoven. I made
a comfortable living there. More than I had ever made in my life to tell you the
truth. But the General Manager Bernie who was the big bad boss man couldn't
handle a challenge. Not that I was directly insubordinate, but I didn't
always agree to his way of thinking. If you didn't do what he wanted, or you expressed any
kind of opinion towards anything that he said, you got fired. I think that
he really enjoyed firing people. He used to actually bragg about the
reactions his employees had when he told them. Maybe it makes up for something that he was missing as
a kid...( self confidence maybe )
Basically if you didn't kiss his ass he wouldn't keep you around. Thats what
happened to me.
Now I am working for S&L Motors up in Pulaski
Wisconsin. I have helped them create a online Sales department, as well as
an off lease procedure, things are going great and as a family we are making
enough to pay the bills. So on comes our next accomplishment, Kenneth Lyle Collins our new
Baby Boy. Wow! you never really appreciate parenthood until it creeps up on
you. This kid is growing like a weed! He is a little over 3 months old now
and weighs in at 17lbs!!!! I was a rotten kid... I hope I don't get it as
bad as I gave it when I was a kid. Recently I made a job change. I am not
sure if it is for the better, but it is close to home and there hasn't
really been a change in the money. The new Dealership is Northshore Auto in
Menasha, Basically we are just a little used lot, but we are selling a lot
of cars. and we have everything from late model cars to older budget cars.
Usually we stock over 100 cars, trucks, sport utilities, and imports. If
there is ever anything that you need, please feel free to take a look at our
